Promoting historic preservation, education, and patriotism since 1897

Today's DAR

Welcome to Owasco Chapter- a vital part of “Today’s DAR.”  We are located in Auburn, Cayuga County, New York, and meet on the third Saturday of the months of March through June and September through December.

Members are from all walks of life; women whose interests and input are sought to complete the mission of DAR, while doing creative, informative work for the community and Society.  You will find ladies who are friendly and caring, who support personal growth through our shared passion for education, patriotism, and historic preservation.

We would love to welcome you as a new member.

Any woman is eligible for membership who is no less than eighteen years of age and can prove lineal, blood line descent from an ancestor who aided in achieving American independence.  She must provide documentation for birth, marriage, and death for the first three generations, with the remaining generations as complete as possible, as well as for the service of her ancestor.

If you think you have a qualifying ancestor and would like to know more, please visit the membership page with our National Society by (clicking here).

Please to inquire about membership in Owasco Chapter or to make genealogical inquiries regarding our patriots named on this website.  Our volunteer genealogist team will be glad to assist you.
